What is accessXchange?

accessXchange is a two-day knowledge exchange forum to be held at Concordia on April 24 & 25th, 2019. It is the meeting point for a vibrant exchange of ideas, research, and know-how on advancing inclusive, accessible approaches to design and learning in digital environments.

The program includes keynotes by:

1) Bryce Johnson, Inclusive Design Lead at Microsoft, whose work on the Xbox team championed the ‘Gaming for Everyone’ mission

2) Dr. Jutta Treviranus, Director of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCAD University in Toronto

3) Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai, Head of Research and Chief Accessibility Officer at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind

Complemented by a host of hands-on workshops on web accessibility, Universal Design for Learning, and co-designing for inclusivity, the two-day event is packed with knowledge-sharing, insight and resources. We look forward to welcoming 100+ attendees to join the conversation about accessibility in digital learning and how we can make significant strides as post-secondary institutions in Quebec.
